Library Services using Library 2.0 applications has opened up a new world for those who are able, trained and interested. Some of the biggest barriers from my perspective is how to connect with the people in the community who do not have computers or those for whom the use of these tools and other social networking is not something they are capable of participating in. I could create a blog or a website that shares what I am reading and what I think but does that mean someone else will discover it and read what I have written. So far my blog has been available for nearly 4 months and as yet no one, not even from our own library participants has even looked at it, as far as I can tell, and no one has commented about my posts or follows me. Why is that?
See LJ's The Annoyed Librarian's blog and my response regarding marketing and technological changes since I became a librarian in 1977 regarding my thoughts on Web 2.0.

Now after posting my comments there, I will see if anyone reads my blog and comments back.
