Comments on our Sanctuary County Status

After much writing and editing over the past couple of months, I sent this earlier this week to Montgomery County's County Executive Marc Elrich. I suggested that he read the Book of Proverbs, a chapter a day and get some alternative point of view advisors.

Now that things have quieted down, I sure hope that you take the time to read this to the end because I have some serious issues with what is has happened over the last few months. 

You held some community events to listen to what people think about racial equity and social injustice in order to “solve” this systemic problem. I have some thoughts which are too detailed to share in public so I am sending my perspective to you.

I cannot believe what you did by reinforcing Montgomery County status as a “Sanctuary County” by your unwillingness to help ICE and the Federal Government enforce immigration laws, generally, but especially in their current efforts to locate and deport the people who have already had their day in court. Sadly, these actions were celebrated by the County Council. I guess you are missing the point and those people around you have failed to provide you with logical and wise advice.

Since I started writing this there have been more than one individual, undocumented immigrants, who broke our laws by entering America illegally and then raped women and children. This is reprehensible on their part and you and the rest elected official bear the responsibility for encouraging and supporting their illegal behavior which has led to additional crimes in our county. American citizens doing the crime of rape would have been treated totally differently and this reveals a major problem when it comes to social injustice.

One thing is very clear but by seemingly “granting” social justice by not assisting ICE, those who are in our county illegally are given special status beyond the rights of the citizens. You are creating a social injustice for the rest of us by your actions. In a way the situation is like extradition, if a criminal committed crimes in another state and then came to Montgomery County, you would be expected to send that person to the other state to stand trial, but you are not allowing the next step when it comes to the jurisdiction of the Federal Government. Criminals who commit crimes in our county need to be punished to the full extent of the law, whatever their immigration status nor should their crimes be plea bargained down to save money and court times and cost because with reduced sentences they return and do the same crimes again at more cost to the rest of society then if they had been left in prison.  Governor Hogan and the District of Columbia are just figuring this out. 

You are concerned about social injustice yet by protecting illegal immigrants who are to be deported and have committed a felony by coming into America, you are contradicting yourself.  You have encouraged social injustice by this action. You are discriminating against citizens of this country - those who are truly born here and those who became citizens through the long process and you are telling us that our rights have less value than those who have broken our nation’s laws by sneaking in.   Also, you have put at risk legal and illegal immigrants who may be threatened with harm if they tell on their neighbors, you have threatened all with enabling the rise of the gangs like MS13 and you have enabled human traffickers to exploit the illegal status of young women and teens. This county has put schoolchildren at risk by not ensuring that all children, specifically, those who have entered America illegally, have had their vaccines and have put many others at risk because immigration Health Laws related to children and adults have not been enforced. This county and the State of Maryland has enabled illegal aliens to obtain driver’s licenses without confirming their status. The argument is so that they can get to their places of work, yet there are laws are in place that as an employer you cannot hire someone who is in this country without proper documentation, i.e., here illegally so they should not have jobs at all. By your selected application of which laws you will enforce and which laws Montgomery County will ignore, you have created an inequality and inequity against the citizens and the residents of this county.

By telling the Federal Government as County Executive you will not abide by the multiple laws that were passed by Democratic and Republican Congresses and signed by Presidents of both parties over the years, and enforced by the bodies assigned that task, you are putting Montgomery County in the same condition which caused the American Civil War.  South Carolina and what became the rest of the Confederacy did not like the Federal Government’s laws and did not like that a Republican President won the 1860 election and proceeded to go to war against Federal troops and shelled Fort Sumter in April of 1861.  Multiple people in this country keep trying to remove, destroy, or desecrate statutes related to that war and destroy or disfigure paintings and monuments of the Founding Fathers because they are applying today’s mindset to the past and declaring what they did was wrong. I believe that one day we won’t take down the statues because how else will they remind us to explore the past so that we might learn from our errors.

I have lived in Montgomery County for 63 years and for most of those years, the Democratic Party has been in charge of the government.  As a party, Democrats have had years to figure out what is wrong with this county and to solve one issue or another to improve the situation.  The thing which does not seem to have been learned by the Democratic Party is that passing resolutions, spending money, holding hearings, and other activities are just band-aid solutions and feel good efforts which do not fix things permanently.

So many complain about the need for social justice and racial equity yet they need not to speak to the Republicans but to their own Democratic Party who have not evolved as President Obama claimed although this country’s voters did help to elect the first black President. They were the party against Civil Rights for descendants of slaves, for freedoms to be considered as equal in housing, wages, jobs, educational opportunities, voting, and by laws which imposed segregation, discrimination, and outlawed miscegenation. Democrats still thwart people’s right to vote by preventing voter identification which protects their votes from being diluted by the dead and liars.

Again sadly, often over the last 100 years, most of the inequities and inequalities which have occurred were because of the laws passed by Democrats at the local, state, and national levels. 

They have been the deniers of freedom, the blockers of allowing people to strive for the American Dream by the laws they enacted and they fought anyone in the courts who tried to bypass their efforts to enforce these unjust laws. They are the party of intolerance by saying that anyone who doesn't speak with the right voice, the right words, or have the right litmus identity cannot be in Congress. Those in Congress should be representing all people from their state or district not just people who claim their specialness because of their skin color, their ethnicity, their sexual identity, gender, country of family origin, their religion, historical injustice, or victimhood. Now Democrats are trying to get the nation to pay reparations but in many peoples’ opinion that was tried by the Democratic attempts with Welfare which has destroyed the American family and has led to too many absent fathers, unwed moms, children raised by grandparents and single parent families.  President Trump whose has been in office for only a short time and cannot be blamed for the many decades of evil actions. It is the Democratic Party who is to blame and they needs to clean up their act or clean house for their irresponsible inequities and social injustices.  

Many of those in government are blind to the method of solving of racial inequity and social injustice and so are many of the people who elect them. But it is not just those elected - it is their staff, their families, and the bureaucrats who assist in running the government.  The Declaration of Independence was written to justify going to war against Great Britain because it failed to establish a government which enabled people to exercise the unalienable rights endowed by God of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  After the Revolutionary War was over, America needed to create a government from scratch which enabled its citizens to ultimately achieve their personal American Dreams.  Despite those who denigrate what the Founding Fathers did, the Constitution provided the mechanism to accomplish this.  However, what people of today fail to take into account, is that government is a political creation and it does not deal with another part of human existence.  People make up the world and countries and their desires interact and may conflict with others. That is why we have civil laws to handle being human and the failure to live civilly towards one and another.

First of all, racial inequity is different from racial inequality. According to the dictionary, inequity is a lack of fairness or justice. That there is unfairness, partisanship, favoritism, prejudice, and discrimination is based on someone’s race, not necessarily ethnicity or country of origin.

Racial inequality is the belief that one is not equal to another based on race. Which when taken in context, if one believes someone is not equal to someone else because of their race, usually one person then treats or acts towards the other person with inequity.  At the same time, the person who is not considered equal has a choice - to believe that they are inferior and accept that position or disagree and try to prove that those who are subjugating them are wrong through changing the laws, going to court, through civil disobedience, or through violence.  Ultimately, the goal is end this inequity but even though laws have been changed to accomplish this, the internal human side may not agree.  No matter how many laws get passed there are still people who think because someone does not have the experience, speak the same language, does not have the same education, life skills, they are inferior to someone else but it is not because of race but is generally due to the lack of opportunity to achieve or attain this level of knowledge the other person has.  But again, racial inequity has traditionally been a black and white thing in this country but lately, it has been appropriated to validate inequity towards anyone who is different in a long list of disclaimers.

There are cries, appeals, and calls for social justice and accusations of racism at the national level and not just in Montgomery County. Those who were held down recognize they were treated unjustly and want it to end but does that mean that to balance things, others are discriminated against while others are given special treatment?  Dr. Martin Luther King marched, spoke, and accomplished much to end social injustice only to die by an assassin who did not believe that black people were equal to white people. His killer was part of the Democratic Party which had treated black people, descendants of slaves as inferior and had denied them educational, employment, and housing opportunities and prevented many from accomplishing, achieving or striving after the American Dream.  However, black people in America  (and around the world) were not the only ones who have been discriminated against and it was not just because of their skin color but for other reasons which were sometimes less noticeable except to each other. (Tribes in Africa have fought and enslaved each other for centuries). Over the years, Protestants, Catholics, Jewish people and Muslims were treated unfairly due to their exercise of their religion notwithstanding the First Amendment in the Bill of Rights at least in America.  Swedes, Norwegians, Irish, East Europeans, Chinese, and other Asians and other nationalities were discriminated against not just by other Europeans in America but also by each other in their home countries.  The point being is that throughout human history, not just in America, people have been considered inferior by one group or another.  So how can this problem be solved once and for all?

Laws and resolutions can be passed to end social injustice but that doesn’t mean people’s beliefs will change.  People lie, cheat, steal, and murder and have for centuries throughout the world and though there are laws that say these actions are wrong and deserve to be punished, people still do them. The motivations to do evil cannot be resolved through political machinations because they are based in human nature and and is displayed in the ineffective philosophy of humanism. Putting a bumper sticker on one’s car that promotes “Tolerance” or “Coexist”ence is very one-sided because it fails to take into account that the other person may not accept that premise or standard.  Some people like to apply principles out of the Bible and though it looks and sounds good, they are missing the spiritual motivation power of God that enables and provides the ability to do so.  They champion specific statements by Jesus - “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you” or “Judge not, that ye be not judged.”  Man is not able to put these into practice 100% of the time and, for that matter, the latter is misapplied for promoting tolerance when they use it to ram it down someone’s throat when they are questioned their actions. These statements are being taken out of context, because Jesus was speaking to His disciples and providing guidelines for interactions between people with a different set of standards and beliefs and not to the world at large, all though their universal application would be nice. Some people smorgasbord the Bible and pull out what they agree with and ignore the admonishments and requirements which they don’t like. They claim that the world is different now and those principles no longer apply in today in order to justify their behaviors but they negate the consequences which are quite in evidence if one just looks around.  When someone questions their actions, they immediately cry hate crime or use anti-discrimination laws to destroy the other person for believing differently based on their religious beliefs.  

We have caused racial inequity and social injustice by our application and non-application of our laws. When laws are passed the unintended consequences result in additional laws. Our humanness is to blame for much of it. We keeping passing laws to deal with a perceived problem yet then we discover in our ignorance that we failed to take into account something, so the law is revised to fix that gap but then another group claims that still is incomplete.  When word “all” is used that is inclusive yet anti-discrimination laws keep adding additional people to the ongoing list and in so doing some gets missed ad the list is amended with even more laws. Sooner or later, a form of social injustice will occur. Additionally, when laws are selectively enforced or not enforced, based on some criteria, then profiling has occurred and our choosing to grant some people more advantages than others results in discrimination, inequity, and injustice.  Leviticus 19:15 states that “You shall do no injustice in judgment; you shall not be partial to the poor nor defer to the great, but you are to judge your neighbor fairly.”  We have not abided by this Biblical injunction, though it was given to the Jewish people, it is an universal imperative. There are other commands in this chapter of Leviticus which support social justice and equality but if one were to read the chapters on either side, and champion them today, one would be called all kinds of names. 

Progressive Liberals believe that by passing laws, by intimidation, and other means, the world can become a utopia with everyone getting along fine and will play nice but again the internal beliefs and attitudes of equality festers into injustice, intolerance, and inequity which cannot ever be fully eradicated by man’s efforts.

People have always taken advantage of others because they are different in one or another.  Outlawing these actions can prevent some of it from happening but it does not stop someone from doing or considering doing it.  The problem is that man cannot solve a spiritual or heart problem with a law.  Laws state what is right and establish a consequence for breaking it and then the law is enforced by police and courts punish the offenders. However, there is another problem which comes into play.  We like to play “God” and try to determine the motivation and come up with extenuating circumstances to reduce or increase the severity of the punishment.  This sets up a problem which can become discriminatory because it establishes the practice of inequity and inequality based on situational conditions. This establishes precedence and creates an opportunity for someone to question the motives of the courts. This creates more social injustice by treating criminals differently based on the circumstances - like country of origin, immigration status, home life, and other factors which maybe should not be considered because other people went through those same things and did not commit any crimes.  Additionally, if it took a village to raise the child and the child does evil, whom do we blame? Rarely, is it the child, we tend to come up with all kinds of reasons and mitigate the blame instead of blaming the real culprits.  First, it was the choice of the raised up child who committed the crime and, in my opinion, who in the village raised the child - did the village use the best instruction book, teacher, and methods?  In reality, this is a folktale masquerading as fact.  The person who is to blame is the person who committed the crime, not the drug, not the car, not the knife, the gun, or anything else!

I was told I was making excuses for racism recently which by my reading, the writer was implying I supported it. Actually, I am recognizing and writing this to state that racism, social injustice, and racial inequity exist because of human nature.  Man cannot change his nature. There will be always be injustice in this world and inequity and inequality because there are too many factors which are out of the control of politicians and laws. Outwardly, people may act nicely towards each other but inwardly they resent that one person has more money, a better job, a bigger house, a prettier wife, a more handsome husband, more or fewer children, that they drive a bigger car, or they drive a gasoline powered car versus an electric, that they eat meat or they hunt, or they are vegan, or they are gay, they are straight, they believe in climate change or deny it, there are differences in skin color, or they are Republican or Democrat and so many other identities and criteria it would be fruitless to list them all.  The question becomes what they will do with their inward issues with that other person.

Looking again at the current situation regarding illegal immigration.  How many people are going to be allowed to enter this country illegally and to claim asylum for whatever reason based on whatever they choose?  How many individuals are the taxpayers of Montgomery County going to have to support in our schools, or pay for by those who commit serious crimes on others in our community? What about the rights of those who came legally and became citizens?  Is it fair that they had to go through a 10 year process while some gratuitous lawmakers want to hand others the rights of citizenship because of their travel hardship by getting into America?  Those who did it legally do not appreciate that the government is so willing to ignore the breaking of laws because of wanting economic opportunities to available to themselves or their children. However, those in Congress and elsewhere want new voters (because over 60 million voters were aborted and their future offspring was prevented which is a huge civil rights issue for me) but they claim racism or lack of compassion, on the part of Republicans who don’t want people from south of the border coming in. This is not true.  The issue is that anyone who comes into America illegally has broken the law.  Not just someone who crosses the Mexican border from Central America but because it is a felony to do so even if they come in on an ocean container ship, or small boat, or cross from Canada.  As I wrote to Council President Navarro “I am tired of people coming to America and expecting us to welcome them with open arms and ignore that they have broken laws to get into America and while here.  We could not enter Canada or Mexico without documentation. We would be put in jail!  So why will people not accept the reverse?  You cannot fly on a plane or travel by train into this country or arrive by boat without documentation so what gives someone the expectation that by crossing some sand, sea, or a river they should be allowed to just walk in and expect no consequences for their actions? “  For that matter, I believe anyone who brings a child into this country should be arrested for child abuse, neglect, and human trafficking. How loving it is for a parent to travel with a child to America or to pay a drug cartel’s coyote thousands of dollars to enable their child to travel thousands of miles with the potential for rape, assault, starvation, disease, or death along the way and to sneak them in with aspiration that somehow they will survive and thrive in this country while being hidden or protected from authorities?  What gives Montgomery County and other sanctuary counties, cities, and states the right or authority to not enforce federal laws? I wish someone would file a lawsuit and have the Supreme Court rule on that!  We have created our own form of social injustice by our lack of enforcing and supporting these federal laws for which our own elected Congressional Representatives and Senators voted long before President Trump was elected!  By our generous behavior and, in some cases, due to President Obama’s “decree,” children have been placed in Montgomery County and around the country without a guaranteed future status as to what will happen to them.  This has led to a huge amount of new students in our schools and, not the reason, I heard from a County official on the news a couple of months ago, who claimed it was because our school system is so good. 

As much as I am against people being in this country illegally, I am concerned for their well being. I don’t want anyone to be put in danger, to be exploited for financial gain or power, to be abused, blackmailed, forced into a gang, or threatened with harm whether they are citizens, or residents, tourists, or in this country illegally.  But for those in the latter situation, they are put in greater danger due to their immigration status because they do not have protection. This is social injustice and we have encouraged it by turning a blind eye to those who have violated our immigration laws.  

Just to reinforce something which I have written and said elsewhere in the past so as to protect myself.  Less you think I am a “xenophobe” I work with legal migrant Mexican workers for six weeks each fall on a farm and they have been coming here for years and years.  I am very passionate about ending illegal immigration and solving the other areas related to it, however, as a substitute teacher I do not concern myself with the possible immigration status of a student. My focus is on their education and I do not engage in social engineering while I am doing so.  Also, I am retired County Employee who worked for the library system for nearly 37 years and I provided excellent customer service to those who entered the doors of the public libraries no matter what.

I hope I gave you food for thought to consider as you are the County Executive, especially since you and the County Council make decisions which impact all county residents not just the ones who you are currently claiming you are protecting with your actions.

Society and Gender Identification

It is puzzling to me living in this seemingly dystopian republic of America. Our country is being directed down a path to change society and many people don’t seem to recognize the cliff the lemmings are headed for.  One group believes in God and acts according to their beliefs and are condemned by their actions as discriminatory and sued, taken to court, so as to control their actions yet another group of people think and believe something else yet they are able to continue with their actions and beliefs and no one is allowed to question what they are doing without being called names and again sued and taken to court. We are at a crossroads as to where we are going as a nation.

Our thoughts are being examined for political correctness and when they are translated into actions, there is a group of people who judge them for the rightness of them as regard to their own philosophical beliefs. Yet, if we question them, we are attacked on all different levels and labeled in ways to suppress our perspectives about life, morality, and people while science, one of the gods of the Left, cannot be used to justify their position, especially when it comes to anything sexual.

Science is showing more and more that babies can live outside the womb at younger and younger ages due to medical advancements that were not available when the justices in Roe v. Wade allowed for abortion but the caveat by the “old” white men (an incorrect statement of fact) was if it was determined when life begins, in their words viability, abortions would stop.  Doctors, science, and surviving miracle babies have helped shown that life does begin at conception just like in the animal world of pandas, dogs, and endangered species which the Left protects with a vengeance. However, when it comes to babies they see them as a danger, a threat except when they are reach approval level which may mean that some are discarded because of their sex or disabilities.  The Left wants to build utopian society on their terms and “CHOICE” is one of their criteria but only when it agrees with their core principles. However, they refuse to allow the baby growing in the womb to have standing in a court of law which was Dred Scott’s situation in the 1840’s when he was considered property and not a person.  

Yet recently, there is a small group of individuals who identify with different things and others support them with psychobabble, with political correctness, and tolerance without any scientific basis for their actions.  A few years ago, a woman was discovered not to be an African American as she identified and the NAACP removed her from her leadership role. One of our politicians has claimed and identified herself as a Native American for years until it was determined that she was ill informed about that having high cheekbones, does not make you a member of a tribe.  Identifying does not qualify as a scientific fact yet it has been promoted so much by the Left.  However, science should be used when it comes to gender identity but the Left does not want to go down that path, rather letting choices based on thought to be the norm.  I recognize that people are confused and struggling about who they are, trying to find someone with whom to identify.  In the last 50 years, the high rate of divorce, blended families, the Women’s Movement, unmanly men, spousal abuse, drugs and alcohol, and for other reasons, children do not always see the greatest examples of women and men to admire and call someone a hero and choose to emulate.  The tolerance of parents and their own insecurities have led many to no longer guide, encourage, support, and their unwillingness to say no, in some cases, have allowed society and families and children to become more and more confused on many issues, not just gender.

As children, we identify with heroes and other things.  As parents, we may support our kids, and buy them race car beds, firefighter jackets, helmets, or princess tiaras, clothes, shoes or Hogwarts’ wands, robes, or StarWars lightsabers, or pirate gear, mermaids, and unicorns. Some parents  recognize they are going through a phase that is probably not permanent but others see the make believers being accepted as a reality. Also, there are plenty of children's books and teen graphic novels with fluid genders so characters shift back and forth between sexes. Years ago, there were plenty of children who identified with Davy Crockett and wore coonskin hats.  Some of us outgrow these interests and others continue to co-exist in these worlds.  I have noticed, that for some, these desires and interests continue and people become writers, or participate in reenacting, cosplay, or pursue a career in police work, fire fighting, or in something else because of their childhood “fixation”.

If a little boy or girl wants to be a pirate, and identifies with Captain Hook, are we going to take that child to the doctor and have them cut off their hand?  Of course, we as parents and adults understand that this would be absurd, ridiculous, and harmful to the child. However, taking a child who thinks they are something they are not, to a doctor and have them give them a drug or perform surgery on them because they identify as another gender is not going too far for some and is perfectly acceptable.  It is one thing to participate in external activities based on interests but making physical and permanent modifications to a minor’s body, one who is still has a brain developing until their late 20s, seems a little to excessive.  Yes, there is a small percentage of people whose sexual organs are mixed up at birth and their chromosomes are not XX or XY but most of those children and teens who are questioning their gender identify do not fall into this category.  Liberal school systems across this country, afraid of being sued, in the name of tolerance and for political correctness are bending over backwards to accommodate those who are questioning which gender they identify with.  Maybe, its the social media I access but I sure don’t hear/read about girls wanting to use the boys’ bathrooms for gender identity reasons.  It is just boys who are questioning and identifying as women. Why is the trend mainly in this direction? Is anybody studying that?  Whether it is the terms they identify by, the bathrooms which they use, or the sports they participate in, things are being turned upside down.  You may have girls participating in coed wrestling but they are not identifying as boys, they are just wrestling competitively. There are girls playing football with boys but again, they are girls; they are not wanting to become boys.  I cheer for those girls and I was glad for the two female Army Rangers, for that matter. I think it is great they are so passionate about their interest, that they invest time to become successful athletes and to compete against the opposite gender. What athletic achievements are being impacted because schools are allowing those questioning their gender identify, who have already gone through puberty, to compete with biologic females and take away those girl’s futures.  However, due to HIPAA, school regulations which do not allow inquiries of certain types, privacy issues, and a lack of regulations which do not require a DNA test when children get a physician’s approval to participate in athletics, there is not any true questioning of why men who identify as women in most cases, want to compete against girls in sports.  Again, science is abandoned when it comes to sexual choice matters.

And for record, for anyone monitoring my social media, I have worked and interacted with multiple numbers of LGBT individuals and all kinds of people in schools, libraries and elsewhere.  Although, I may wonder, internally disagree possibly with some of their choices, and question and write about my concerns generally, I do my best to treat all with respect and tolerance, just as I expect of them towards me.  If my questioning and writing is considered discrimination, how come it only is a factor when it comes to this subject? Disagreeing with someone’s choices or perspectives is not a form of discrimination because if this was the case,  philosophical, social, political discussions for thousands of years would be impacted. If we cannot rationally examine the consequences of the decisions which are being made, then we really have taken the wrong path as a nation and society.

Comments on a Danger to America

I want to share about a political and social philosophical point of view which is a danger to our country and, in fact, to the whole world.  Its adherents do not see people for who they are at all.  They see people as victims and as people who don’t need a hand but deserve a handout. They want to intervene and remove personal responsibility and perseverance in the face of adversity and challenges out of the equation.  This philosophical perspective is that they see victims, as people who have going through life but never overcoming or growing out of what they have been through.  In so doing, their idea of living is to never have anything bad happen to anyone but if something does they want to swoop in and, as if with a magic wand, obliterate the problem, erase consequences, and punish whoever they decide is the most culpable for causing the complication.  They don’t appreciate what have I shared in various places - No matter the good or bad situation we grew up in, no matter the home life, the parents, family members, the choices we have made, all of what we have gone through is molding us into the people we are becoming.  

Not only that, but the “leaders” of this philosophy see governments, and mainly, the United State and other humans as needing to evolve beyond our current state.   For example, while I was doing the finally editing of this essay, I received an email from the President of the County Council in which I reside that sums up my point very well. 

“Our County has grown and it has changed. These demographic patterns require us to be open and proactive in how we address the evolved needs of our residents….We have made progress, but we are still far from that ideal. They want to remove some laws, add on more laws, and use social constructs to direct human behavior and mold people, society, and government into their idea of perfect humanness and society.  They don’t see people as imperfect and sinful in a Christian way since they see religion with its morals and beliefs as a barrier to their aims. 

With these core perspectives, the politicians at all levels of government, pass laws not to provide opportunities for people but to counteract what was written in the Declaration of Independence - “We hold these Truths to be self-evident, that all Men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness, — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men.”  They want to be “God” and they want to be the ones to re-endow the rights and distribute the rights in such a way as to exploit and claim that they were the ones who intervened to ensure that these rights were correctly given out.  They choose to ignore that Continental Congress recognized that God gave these rights out once already and that was sufficient.  The writers and representatives in 1776 expressed these truths to Americans specifically but they wanted the whole world to know them, too. 

Many today, have been taught and indoctrinated and now believe that Jefferson and others missed something.  In their eyes, the Founding Fathers, were not educated enough or egalitarian enough in their 18th Century enlightened state, though they were educated at Harvard and elsewhere, but believe they did not have the fortitude to finish the task.  According to them, the founded nation and the documents which established the government were flawed because they did not resolve everything that was wrong at the time especially when it came to slavery.  However, that was not the only thing. Words like Creator, rights, equal, all men are limiting and they have issues with life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  They fail to see the Declaration of Independence was a starting place for launching the American Dream. They are kind of like legalists, like the Pharisees in the Bible, who had to have every law precisely spelled out instead of the flexibility and the freedom which this document offers.  Although, the Declaration of Independence is not a legal document in that way this founding document was written to tell the world, Great Britain, and the colonists that they were being denied rights which they deserved and they were telling all that they were willing to fight the greatest country on earth at that time, risking their lives, their property, and sacred honor to achieve freedom so as to secure the 2denied rights.  The Constitution was written to spell out the way the American government would enable people to exercise their rights to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  This is evidenced by the Preamble to the Constitution.  “We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”

Their supporters and those influenced throughout society and especially, the elected ones, want to go to war on the government and society which they claim has denied people their rights.  They believe that America failed to win the war in the late 1700s because they failed to obtain the guarantees of these rights for all.  By its failure to distribute the rights properly, government blundered when, in fact, people were supposed to appropriate and use them without hinderance and in some cases, people were prevented from having freedom. They fail to recognize that government was established to secure the rights by the war that was fought so that Americans could then exercise these rights.  They believe governments need to keep securing these rights and giving them again to people who were left along the wayside throughout our history.  I will not deny that there were people in the last 250 years who were treated wrongly and some of the effects are still evident in America.  At the same time, each of us today with our baggage should be able to move forward without elected politicians looking for each and every person who has not succeeded in participating in the American Dream and try to force the government and society to treat these found victims differently so somehow the Dream is more attainable for them.

The Supreme Court, made up of nine men in 1973, at the behest of feminist women, created a ruling out by wrongly applying the right to privacy which has taken away the life opportunities of 60 million babies.  With their lockhold on what they call by many names - words like reproductive rights, a women’s right to choose, pro-choice have enabled legalized murder to fit their philosophy’s agenda. Women are again treated as a victims; responsible enough to have unprotected sex but denying them the consequences of their choice to do so by aborting the baby conceived by their actions.    Considering that every act of sexual relations does not result in a pregnancy, that means they have been actually playing Russian roulette with their bodies in a very irresponsible way. They could have sex on 330 other days of the year but they choose to have sex on a fertile day. At the same time, there are men out in the world who don’t care about the consequences of their actions either and take advantage of the willingness and unwillingness of women and rape them, seduce them with words and convince them to have sex.  Or as a relative tricking them into bed, or take up women on their offer to enjoy their bodies which results in a pregnancy.  Then you have the group of women who go out looking to have sexual relations and once they are pregnant they believe their choice may expose their activities to the world and want to hide those consequences of having sex. There are all kinds of reasons and excuses - their boyfriend is the father, or it is a man not their husband, or that this pregnancy will prevent them from accomplishing what they had planned for their lives, or they cannot afford to raise a child right now, or would expose them to others who would judge them for having sex and not being responsible enough to not get pregnant.  Whichever underlying action caused conception, a life was created. So many want to play “God” again and say that only certain lives deserve life- not the ones conceived but only the ones where the mother choose to give birth. Lately some have taken it a step further and said after the baby has been born they may not deserve to live. How evil!  Victims or not, these pregnant women can eliminate from their bodies a baby and take away their right to life.  Returning to responsibility, I was told by a teen that she believed that there should be age restrictions on buying a firearm.  Her reasoning was that teens were not capable of making such an important decision like this. I postulated the idea that pregnant teens may not be capable of making a life and death decision when it comes to abortion either but she was not willing to accept the same argument that she had just made.  At the same time, there are politicians who seek to restrict underage smoking and vaping using this same argument about health and responsibility but then they want to decrease the age of voting to 16.  They cannot have it both ways - either teens are responsible for all of their decisions or none.

Another area where there is confusion is when it applies to our open borders and immigration, especially illegal immigrants. The rights which were stated above and revealed to the world in 1776, had a two fold exhibition.  First, the signers wanted all to know that these rights were not just for Americans.  People could come to America to live and be part of this “experiment” but where they currently lived, they were supposed to have these rights there too and their government was supposed to secure these rights for them.  Instead, because governments around the world failed to accomplish this, illegal aliens are allowed to come in with offers of the same rights as citizens and they are provided sanctuary cities, benefits, education, and more so that they can enjoy these rights without becoming citizens until we can change the laws to automatically do so.  As if we don’t already have enough “victims” of our own to deal with it is only right that we take the world’s as well and give them what they “deserve”.  Personally, this is a slap in the face to all who are proceeding about getting their citizenship legally and are going through the correct process.  

Sadly, liberty for so many does not mean freedom as an opportunity but freedom means doing whatever they want without regard for anyone else.  It is a selfish perspective because for so many, liberty means freedom from consequences, freedom from restrictions, and freedom to take advantage of others. The original intent in the Declaration was that liberty meant that the government would not prevent you from doing things unless you were breaking the civil laws.  Of course, we cannot forget that there were people not only indentured servants, but slaves at that time who were not free. That was part of the culture and society of the time and although there were people who recognized that slavery contradicted the words in the Declaration of Independence, defeating Great Britain was a higher priority at the time.  (Jefferson had written words in the early draft related to slave ships, and Great Britain bringing slaves from Africa but they were removed before the final document was approved and voted on.)  Many today believe the founding fathers were wrong in not granting slaves their liberty.  However, they show their ignorance about what was happening in Congress.  The southern colonies were not ready to give their slaves freedom at that time and would not have voted for independence.  With a divided country, the War for Independence would have not been won and we would have remained British Colonies and the colonists would have been persecuted for the war and for striving for independence.  In other words, the last 243 years of world history would not have happened.  Most do not want to think about that, I think mainly because they want to impose their 21st Century perspectives on the past. This is always dangerous because they would not have this mindset if those 243 years had not happened.

“All men” did include women. They just did not add what so much of our legislation now includes a ridiculous number of inclusive terms so that all know they are not discriminated against.  Because if it is not specifically written into the law, somehow that group of ignored people not mentioned 225 years ago,  150 years ago, 100 years ago, 50 years ago, or five years ago have rights which they did not have before.  This again gets into the victimhood mindset.  Maybe they did not have access to the rights or were denied the rights or people had not appropriated the rights but they did have them originally. It was later laws which were put in place which denied them rights which they were endowed with.

The Pursuit of Happiness is actually an unique phrase.  It has a twofold meaning. For one, pursuing happiness refers to the acquiring of things and doing things to become personally happier but at the time it also, it refers to doing the greatest good for the greatest number.  In other words, there are both personal opportunities and societal responsibilities for each citizen.  One cannot be selfish with who we are and what we do with our lives.  There are those who have decided that they have to intervene and make sure that everyone has what they believe is an equal playing field. That somehow that although one person living side by side growing up in the same place as another and  one was made something of their life, the other person did not and it was society’s fault, government’s fault, the educational system’s fault, the parent’s fault, and therefore they need to step in and right this perceived inequity.  This is part of the three hundred year old Plantation Mentality.  There are those who believe that people are helpless without them, They view people as incapable of making decisions so they have to supply their every need because otherwise they are incapable of living without someone else’s assistance because they cannot accomplished or self improve on their own. There are two sides to this perspective.  Politicians, especially, like to exempt themselves from this next thing.  They persist in telling people that it is not their fault they are not successful in life because other factors have prevented them from achieving what they deserve. They again deny anyone personal responsibility or accountability for their failures due to wrong choices along the way or other factors which hindered success.  By telling people they are victims of something or someone through not fault of their own, due to prejudice, discrimination, poverty, stigma, and the like they are able to convince people of their victimhood status.  And they have gotten so much buy-in since they indoctrinate people by constantly parading the victims as examples or telling people their “neighbors” still are suffering and they need to be helped.  But the corollary is this also, it denies personal responsibility for what one is able to do, when someone has overcome all barriers, odds, and other factors that they claim prevented others they will claim those have gamed the system, have cheated, had someone help them or they have others who contributed to achievements because they did not use the acceptable methods for overcoming the adversity to success.  By categorically removing personal responsibility from the equation of life, everything that happens to someone is no longer their fault.  This supports victimhood and along comes the do gooders in government - ready to step in and bail people out of whatever predicament they are in.  So in holding to these beliefs, they are fundamentally against acknowledging anyone’s individual achievements because they believe like President Obama who kept promoting, that someone’s invention, pioneering endeavor, creative idea, or flourishing business or achievement was not accomplished independently but others enabled it to happen.  Remember “ You did not build that.” That way, they can promote the village idea, it was a group effort, that someone in government assisted you, or another person did so that sole credit is not possible to claim. This is a direct attack on the whole foundational concept of rugged individualism and American Exceptionalism.  They will attribute to luck, happenstance, or coincidence so that they can denigrate or diminish what was constructed or achieved.

As they reject American Exceptionalism, they actually promote and laud it in a backhanded way by not connecting the dots.  By their ongoing willingness to accept any and all immigrants, especially illegal aliens from across the southern borders as refugees, they are actually saying that the originating country was not able to put in place a government that could secure the rights endowed by the Creator.  They could not acquire the “dream” which Americans were able to secure so they had to leave their country to come here for the opportunity called American Exceptionalism.

In order for politicians to perpetuate their existence they need to keep finding new victims, new causes of victimhood so that can put them “on display” and explain how they deserve special treatment or privilege to overcome their victim status.  They then stereotype, generalize, and exponentially project the one into many.  However, once they have been supplemented with whatever is seen as “solving” their situation, they become the poster child for others in the same condition or as a stepping stone for the next cause.

We are supposed to not be able to think or act for ourselves or in our best interest.  We need government’s guiding hand, help, assistance, or notoriety.  If we deviate, make a mistake or screw up, governments are there to minimize the damage and our responsibility or lack thereof.  Government needs to protect us from ourselves, others, and the other political party because we are not capable of doing so.

According to this philosophy, governments know what is good for you so they have to suppress or negate anything which promotes any outside interference, especially God, Christianity, hope, divine guidance, and definitely, Jesus as the Savior.  They want to make sure that government is seen and understood to be the sole provider, the sole source, and administrator of meeting people’s needs. That way, people look not at themselves, their neighbors, their church, their family, or God but only government.  They are trying to create a utopia and replace God in our lives. They are power hungry so they can implement this so they can be worshipped.

I won’t deny there are victims in our country who have been through all kinds of problems, circumstances, abuse, and other issues but they can be overcome, they can be dealt with, accepted and people can move past them but this group wants people to stay in this quicksand.  For example, to say that misogyny, is the cause of all of women’s problems, that men are evil, unless they support feminist principles is shortsighted.  It is creating stereotypes and worse, creating a schism between the genders and, most especially, creating a huge problem of ambiguity and dysfunctionalism in society and for children growing up without strong role models in their own homes to patterns their lives after.

They are so caught up in the quagmire of their own dogma they cannot see the contradictions and illogic of their positions.  Many are quite willing to abort a child due to inconvenience about 95% of the time. (They would call them a pregnant woman which leads to the question which no one wants to acknowledge - if they are pregnant - it is not a ball of cells but a baby, otherwise they would be pregnant with a ball of panda cells, dog cells, fish cells, or some other animal.  No, it is called a pregnancy test for a reason - one for human beings. It has to be human cells, a fetus, a growing child, a developing baby otherwise it is a cancer growth that needs to be removed, which is a way some view their condition.  Oh, that must be what they happens after someone has sex with a boy/man during a fertile time of the month without protection.  So someone did fail their sex ed class because they did not learn what would happen when sperm and egg come together after intercourse.)  Confusion arises when they are willing to kill, execute, destroy an “innocent” baby who has not done anything other then be conceived as a result of a sexual act by choice or not but which gets in the way of someone’s future plans, or prove they were having sex as a result of incest, rape, or choice by stupidity, irresponsibility, adultery, to get pregnant.  However, for the many who are in favor of capital punishment for the unwanted children, they are against the same act being done to someone who has committed a capital offense worthy of death.  Someone who has done unspeakable crimes and has been judged as worthy to die by a jury of peers cannot die because we should not execute criminals.  One argument is that we may execute someone accidentally for a crime they did not commit.  Wow, what about the babies?  They did not commit a crime in themselves, but one could claim the parents might have, so why should the baby be executed by the choices made by the egg and sperm donors?

What is sad is that this dogma has so permeated society, it is hard to find people who have not been infected by it, who are not articulate enough to counteract the arguments and the scenarios which they keep constantly launching into the discussions.  Some of us try to get out the message but so many are like frogs in a simmering pot of water and they are being boiled and they do not realize they need to hop out of the pot before it is too late.  Escape is possible, so think carefully but leap out.

Just because your mom took drugs you were not able to grow in the best of homes, or because of your economic situation, your school was not the best, or the alcoholic father, or skin color, abusive relative, or where you grew up was not idea; these are only circumstantial and environmental situations which plenty of people have survived and thrived.  Those who want to use these as excuses for you.  It is because you did not fight back hard enough so society owes you a better deal.  Society owes you for what may have prevented you from excelling but even in what could be considered ideal you may not have been the best or the brightest.  If they can convince you that you did not get what you think you deserved then you are a victim and one they can exploit.  They locate one or more people and create a hypothetical scenario to prove their argument but it really holds no water but they are able to convince a slew of gullible people of the truth of their perception. Yet they have the nerve to call all kinds of people that they are ignorant, misinformed, are clinging to guns and their Bibles so they must be hicks, or Deplorables.  They do their best to suppress any and all by ridicule, by oppression, or any other method to destroy the credibility of anyone promoting opposition and alternate perspectives.

Other issues promoted include restricting free speech. In so doing, they seek to restrict others’ rights to share an alternative perspective.  Tolerance used to mean that you could listen to and discuss ideas, beliefs, and theories with others but today, those that want to claim they are tolerant are horribly intolerant and seek to shut down anything which threatens their core values.  In cases like this, I believe they are scared that they cannot stand against an onslaught so they don’t want anyone to question their passionate beliefs so they do not have to defend them against those who disagree.  Knowing their argument is very shallow, they tend to attack the other person so the alternative ideas are blocked from being heard.  Calling someone’s argument or opposing point of view as racist, bigoted, homophobic, misogynistic, reveals their intolerance.  They want to silence voices of dissent so they can champion the voices of the victims.

When it comes to race history, there is an interesting fracture.  Southern Democrats fought for the Confederacy and even though Amendments to the Constitution promoted another view but they still did not believe former slaves and their descendants were capable of living out of bondage so they enacted Jim Crow Laws in the South, which the Supreme Court allowed in many cases, to subjugate them as being inferior and limit their opportunities to pursue life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. They did not want descendants of slaves to go to schools with white people, they fought against Civil Rights in the 1960s. Welfare was distributed and the public housing built created more dependency and inner city social issues which are still in evidence and the consequences have affected multi-generations.  Now the there are is a plan to penalize all for what was done with reparations and to solve the issues created by the Plantation Mentality. This is one reason, the past is to be obliterated, ridiculed, maligned, or rewritten so there is less for people to study and by removing the monuments so to minimize the discussions about who is to blame.  However, they want the government and other bodies to pay for it when it was the Democratic Party which enslaved blacks, held them down, and prevented them from pursuing life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.  Why should those in the North and the descendants of those who fought the Civil War against the South or today’s population of people who were not even in this country 150 years ago be held responsible for something they were not even involved in?  In reality, it is just one more instance where there are victims to find and fund.  

Colleges have transformed from institutions of learning, debating and questioning to places where snowflakes can be indoctrinated. A whole society has been reeducated. By encouraging and making it so “easy” to go to college they taught millions of students into a way of thinking which is false because they have silenced the one institution that for hundreds of years was the spot where alternative political and social concepts, principles were discussed and debated. Now, an outside speaker with conservative political or religious perspectives is not allowed on campus or protested to silence.  Free speech is allowed only when it supports the “right” philosophy and any alternative point of view is not tolerated and is shouted down as intolerant to the victims which they champion.

Climate change is promulgated as fact and man caused, for sure, so they can control people’s lives in all they do. They want to take away guns from those who oppose them because they recognize that they cannot win if there is ever an armed Civil War over values which they want to be decide on.  Science is their mechanism to prove their rightness except when it comes to morality. They don’t want to use it to verify when life begins so they can continue to support abortions.  They refuse to use it when it comes to gender identity because they can champion victimhood stance while slapping in the face girls and women over bathrooms and girls in sports.  DNA decides whether one is a man or a woman but they do not want go there.  If a student has a DNA test when getting a doctor’s permission to participate in a sport that would determine  which sex identity they are before they play.  Consider how the Olympics would be affected by the whole gender identity arguments.  However, forcing everyone to get a DNA test to solve gender identity would be a violation of people’s rights or so it would be said.  How can they support women’s rights - like the #MeToo movement, women’s equality in pay when there is another victim to promote?

This social and political agenda is dangerous because they glom onto any victim which aligns with their philosophy.  If they can determine their victim’s situation was caused by someone or something they are against, it is golden for their purpose.  Any victim they accept needs to be elevated for the cause.  Pro-choice women stand vehemently for their choice to abort but don’t support those choose life.  Just check out all of the protests against Pro-lifers.  Instead allowing for diversity and tolerating an opposing perspective, pro-abortionists verbally abuse those who threaten their philosophy.

Money is no object for this philosophy since they believe they can hit up the rich which they attack for their wealth, claiming they exploited others to become so.  They ignore the fact that many of their own have become rich having done so by exploitation. Many politicians complain about the rich who earned their wealth through capitalism, even though, while working in the government, they have somehow multiplied their wealth into millions of dollars while in office. The National Debt is not an issue for them because there is not any desire to restrain spending or seek to reduce this shackle on everyone.

By controlling actions, they believe they can control society.  They are trying to create a utopia by take on every cause where there is a possible victim. They indoctrinate by using phrases like common sense and comprehensive to establish buy-in and in so doing imply that everyone who disagrees with them must be an idiot or uneducated or does not want to solve the problem.  The line from far above is a catch phrase - “we must do something” really is one of their mantras. They point out a problem and then suggest a “fix” which only makes the problem a perpetual one, that they can claim continually will need more money to resolve.

In many areas, they are not able to come to a workable solution. For example, when it to comes to mass shootings and Inner city crime, they have no productive answers so they want to restrict guns for all, at least the ones they can identify, so they can claim they are doing something but this does not to control the choices made by a few who possess firearms illegally and commit crimes. By their rejection of personal responsibility for one’s actions and that people can do evil things, they can never understand how anyone can kill others with guns.  Again, they miss that their philosophy which has led to millions of babies being killed out of expediency because they have obtained public buy-in and have gotten the laws to change which allows for this.  Contradiction and illogic are in evidence but not to them.

By insisting that everyone is equal they are denying the uniqueness and those with special abilities and skills.  They use this same mentality in their educational practice of having no winners, no class rank, pass/fail, trans vs. girls sports.  Ever notice that more males are identifying as females.  How many trans are identifying as males so they can be successful in male dominated sports? I have not heard of any recently.  I commend girls who want to play football, they are not letting their biological gender stop them from competing with and against boys.  If someone really wants to push the envelope and bites the hand that feeds them, just wait until a trans individual, takes the gender role in a Hollywood movie or Broadway show and gets nominated for an award as the best female or male.  That would be the same as a girl being pushed out of their sport by a trans individual competing in a women’s sport; however, I think they know not to do so.

They support the creation of fantasy worlds and people are swept up into the philosophical narrative because it creates doubt about the current worldview but it gives them an opportunity to suggest that unless you go along with them, this is what the world is coming to.

They imply happiness is not obtainable unless they are involved but they tend to be the most unhappiness of people.

They will manipulate, humiliate, or intimidate in order to force their opposition to backdown by claiming they are fear mongering which is what they do constantly, themselves.

By denying God’s existence they can focus on the here and now and promote their solutions to America’s problems.  By denying creation, they can promote their doctrine that man can evolve himself with their help into utopia.  They try to appropriate the Christian application principles of love and compassion so as to make their actions for palatable.

Becoming as a god, believers in this political and social philosophy offer a false hope as they offer “solutions” to respond to their victimhood and, at the same time, create more victims in the process.  As they claim, there is victimhood, they claim their response will work, despite years of governmental and societal intervention by people trying to fix a particular problem.  They are always quite willing to identify a need that they believe should be fixed by them.

However, they fail critically to get their adherents to obey even the simplest of principles and become hypocrites.  For example, they constantly hold protest marches, while claiming how pro-environment they are, yet they leave tons and tons of trash behind and expect the government at taxpayer’ expense to clean up what they littered.

If you have not identified the philosophy which has been described for many paragraphs and words, let me clue you in.  It is the Liberal Progressives who are using the means and methods chronicled above to destroy this country by every way possible.

Their philosophy for governmental and societal action is portrayed as the best way to solve America’s problems by evolving society to go along with their beliefs. Yet as been illustrated above, this is nothing more than an insidious evil which has indoctrinated many people, portions of society, and local, state, and the federal governments.  Its leaders and many adherents see themselves as superior to others in their knowledge, beliefs and actions by being altruistic, helpful, empathic, and concerned for others less fortunate. Unfortunately, so many people do not recognize the tentacles and threads which have permeated our world and our country at all levels.  Fortunately, there are others who are not so mindless and by continuing to win elections in the right states, the Electoral College has protected America, in several elections from indulging into their false utopia. However, with people leaving New York City and other taxed to the max locations, they are infiltrating states where their numbers can change the political alignments and push the United States over the brink.  In so doing, they will be able to pass the laws which they have wanted to put in place for over a 100 years and change the Constitution into their image, forcing compliance on all who disagree.  

In their efforts to enforce their version of equality for all, they believe that majority vote is the answer, which is why they want to get rid of the Electoral College.  They refuse to recognize that the tyranny of the population is what the Founding Fathers were preventing with this arrangement.  These wise men created a mechanism by which a most populated state/s could not subjugate the other states and nullify the votes of their population.  Liberal Progressives want to use the majority vote as well so that 1-5% of the knowing ones know what is best for the rest of the country.  It helps also when it comes to elections when the party or group which gets the most people to vote their way, even when only 30% of the population votes at all. In this example, 16% of those who vote can tell the other 84% what they can do.

The end result is that the victims which they have now created by their democratic rules and laws will be helped in a different way.  Even those who are not Christians in America, have a foundational and moral code that disagrees with their philosophy and they will fight back.  However, using government as their instrument of enforcement, those who disagree will be collected, if they are not killed, and sent to training.  They will go to places where they will be shown the true way - via thought transformation.  There is a contradictory hypocrisy going on, those having conflicts with gender identity cannot be sent off to be “reprogrammed”  but this will be done to the non-adherents for the sake of all. Once in charge, Liberal Progressives will transform society into what they want, they will push towards the One World government predicted in the Bible, and having America in hand, they can move onto other countries.  

I hope my dire perspective and predictions are wrong for the future but I believe it is only a foregone conclusion that this will happen.  The evil one behind it all, the unseen one who has his hands everywhere and is manipulating the worldview to his ways.  He seeks to blind the world to his actions.  He distracts with sports, social ills, diseases, entertainment, fake and lost causes, television, video, college, career, pornography, seeking after wealth, sex, pleasure, and some many other human actions.  He fights God but he cannot win but he will take many down to destruction with him.  Wake up, America and resist!  Otherwise, that knock on the door will be them coming to take you away.
